In early August 2010, Darren was in Hawaii, and Stephanie was in Korea. Darren called Stephanie to tell her he was about to board a plane back to New York, and that he’d miss her - she was going to be in Korea for the next 10 days. Little did she know that he planned a surprise engagement with her family and was flying to Korea instead. On August 9th, 2010, her family told her she was going to a “fashion show” at Gyeongbok Palace, but instead, Darren had something special planned.
